Itinerary

Welcome to Salt Lake City, a beautiful and vibrant destination that combines unparalleled access to natural recreation, remarkable history, and warm hospitality. Upon arrival, pick up your rental car and proceed to your hotel. Temple Square is Salt Lake City’s main attraction, dedicated to the city’s founding religion, the Mormon Church. The public can attend performances of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir on Thursday evenings and Sunday mornings for free. May we suggest a beautiful hike to Ensign Peak or City Creek Canyon.

A visit to Antelope Island and the Great Salt Lake in the summer is a must; the water is so salty; you can float right on top. Choose a hiking trail such as the Frary Peak Trail for panoramic views of the lake and surrounding mountains. Alternatively, enjoy wildlife viewing, especially the island's famous bison herd and birdwatching opportunities. Book a tour through Visit Salt Lake for a fun, educational experience.

Experience Utah’s beautiful Wasatch National Forest. Take the scenic drive-up Big Cottonwood Canyon. Enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and keep an eye out for wildlife along the way. Pack a picnic or grab lunch at a nearby restaurant. Enjoy your meal surrounded by the serene beauty of Silver Lake, near Brighton Ski Resort.

Today enjoy the scenic drive to Moab. Moab is known as Utah’s Adventure Town. It is located between two national parks and one state park. There is a never-ending list of activities to enjoy in and around Moab. Head to Arches National Park, which is just a short drive from Moab. Start with the iconic Delicate Arch Trail. This moderate hike offers breathtaking views of the famous Delicate Arch. Insider Tip: Sunrise and Sunset at Delicate Arch is an unforgettable experience.

Today, explore Canyonlands National Park, carved by the Colorado River and featuring a dramatic desert landscape of mesas and canyons. Visit Natural Bridges National Monument with three natural bridges viewable from Bridge View Drive or from hiking trails to the bridges. Spend your evening exploring downtown Moab. Visit art galleries, souvenir shops, and enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants.

Travel through Capitol Reef National Park, famous for its white sandstone domes and the towering monoliths of ‘Cathedral Valley’. Continue to the equally impressive Bryce Canyon where wind and rain have carved spires from the red rocks. Do not miss a hike to the expansive Bryce Amphitheater. This impressive natural landscape sits below theRim Trail hiking path and is filled with hoodoos, which are brightly colored, tall, thin rock spires.= Thor’s Hammer is a must-see. Stay after dark to see the vast, star-filled night sky. Tip: Sunrise and Sunset from Bryce Point is spectacular!

Experience the sunrise from Bryce Point. It is worth waking up early. Then continue your journey to Kanab. Hike to the Sand caves for breathtaking views of unique rock formations. Relax and unwind in Kanab. There are many local restaurants and shops, including Duke’s on main street, where you can buy some Levi’s for your adventures.

Today, take a stroll through the historic downtown area, known for its Western movie history. Go on a scenic drive to the nearby Coral Pink Sand Dunes State Park and enjoy stunning views over the unique, red sand dunes. You may also be interested to prebook a tour to explore the famous Peek-A-Boo and Spooky Gulch slot canyons.

Travel to the magnificent Zion National Park. The stunning sandstone cliffs surround you as you explore the majesty of the park. Start at the Visitor Center and then ride environmentally friendly shuttles through the most scenic areas of the park. There are many hiking trails that allow you to explore at your own pace. Springdale has been named one of the 20 ‘prettiest towns’ in the United States by Forbes Traveler. This community is home to farmers markets, restaurants, art galleries, outfitters, gift shops, and hiking & bike trails. You will want to explore Sand Hollow State Park, a 45 minute drive from Springdale. It is renowned for its red sand beaches, stunning red rock formations and variety of activities including water and motorized recreation. Located off Hwy 9 in Rockville, after crossing an iron latticetruss bridge built in 1926 you will find one of Utah’s best preserved ghost towns-Grafton.

There is one thing you can’t do in Zion National Park…escape the views. Today you will start early with a half-day e-bike ride offered by Zion Outfitters (basic to moderate skill level required) where you will be able to enjoy some of the most memorable trails in the park. Explore Emerald Pools which is an easy to moderate hike. If you prefer a more strenuous hike, we recommend ‘The Narrows’ which is a hike through the Virgin River, surrounded on three sides creating a natural amphitheater.
